What I'm Wearing... Hearts, Hearts, Hearts ♥

I absolutely love a good print, and when I saw this dress in Primark last year it was an absolute must for me, it was very similar to the Burberry Prorsum Fall 2013 collection which I absolutely adored which made it a must for me! The Burberry print was spotted on everyone from Harry Styles to Rita Ora, and this Primark version was definitely a more affordable version. This dress is a staple piece of my Autumn/Winter wardrobe as it is so easy to wear, teamed with my chunky loafers which I bought in Topshops winter sale last year (although they took a lot of wearing in, they used to be very very very painful!!!)! I like to wear this dress with my (p)leather Topshop jacket, although I am on the look out for a new (p)leather this season, I'm even perhaps thinking of venturing into real leather territory!

What I Wore At... Darlia @ Rescue Rooms

On Thursday I finally got to see Darlia, I have tried several times this summer to see them at different festivals and gigs, but usually because of clashes or us being late, we failed miserably! They were playing at Nottingham Rescue Rooms, this being one of my favourite venues (I've seen so many of my faves here!) made it an absolute must go!
I don't think I've ever ran so quick for a train as I did on Thursday night after work! When I got to Nottingham I met up with Ashton and we went for food, I was absolutely starving so we went to one of our favourite haunts Spankys! I never need to look at the menu in this place as they have my fave buttermilk chicken and Fruli(fruit beer) on tap!
We moved onto Rescue Rooms after we'd eaten for a couple of drinks before moving into the main room to watch Darlia. (We missed the support as per!) Darlia played quite a short 35 minute set, but as they don't actually have an album yet I expected this! They were absolutely fab and the comparisons from critics to Nirvana certainly ring true, singer Nathan definitely has a Kurt like gristle to his voice. This band are definitely one to watch so make sure you get listening to their EPs, or even try and catch their energetic sets whilst they are on their UK tour (although I'm pretty sure it's unfortunately nearly finished.)
I took a few snaps but these are the best two of a very bad bunch!!

As the gig was on a weekday it had quite an early curfew, so we decided it was allowed to stay out for a few more drinks! (Very naughty on a work night!!) A new bar opened this week in Nottingham 'The Bunker' so we decided we'd go an check it out, we'd also heard a sneaky rumour that there was a free bar (definitely a plus anyday of the week!). As we entered we were given two drinks vouchers which allowed us to choose from a selection of fab drinks. The actual bar itself was down a staircase underground in a 'bunker', the dimly let decor kept with the American bunker vibe with beer pong being on offer also! We chose our two free drinks a 'Refresher' cocktail, that tasted just like the sweet and a Jam Doughnut shot, Chambord and Blue Curacao with sugar tipped glass and topped with squirty cream. They were both so tasty, the menu looked so fab and there were so many other cocktails and shooters on offer that we wanted to try! We'll definitely be back!

For the gig I decided to wear another recent bargain I purchased from Primark, a tie dye maxi skirt and my new chokers! The outfit definitely had quite a hippie/boho feel! I've recently found a new love in maxi skirts, I haven't ever really been a fan but this season I am loving them! They are absolutely perfect for covering up a little in the colder Autumn weather!

What I'm Wearing... Crochet Cut Outs

I started my new job on Wednesday and fingers crossed so far so good I'm thoroughly enjoying myself and can't wait till I can go out on a spree!! The weather is still permitting bare legs so my summer dresses are out and staying out (although I'm not sure this is going to last much longer!).
This particular dress is an old favourite from Topshop it was very popular when it came out and was spotted on various celebs including the fabulous Alexa Chung, I absolutely love it and definitely don't wear it enough, the crochet detail across the waist is absolutely gorgeous! I have previously worn this dress at festivals (in particular a very muddy Glastonbury!!) however  when styled with the denim shirt and brown ankle boots it is transitioned into a more Autumnal look, again I am wearing a hair chain, this one is slightly smaller with a small peace symbol but very beaut none the less!

What I'm Wearing... Vintage Florals

This week has started off for me with some great news, I've been looking for a full time job for some time and today I got the call to say I'd been offered a position and I start tomorrow! I'm very excited about this if a little nervous, but this does mean I'll be able to afford some serious shopping sprees in the near future to help stock up my autumn/winter wardrobe!! I can't wait!
I absolutely love floral prints and they are fab for any season, although this is maybe a slightly more summery print, but that's allowed! Anyway florals are fab I bought this Vintage Laura Ashley dress off eBay earlier this year and I absolutely adore it, I usually wear it with a belt as it is quite loose but it looks fab either way.
I'm still so pleased that the cold autumn weather is holding off for a little longer so I can still keep on wearing fab summery clothing! I have layered this outfit up with a trusty denim shirt to keep off the chill winds.

What I'm Wearing... Boho Lace

I've recently been attempting to have a clear out of my wardrobe (which I will be listing on my depop very soon! ), but I'm failing miserably! Instead I keep finding fabulous pieces that I forgot I even owned! This gorgeous Topshop lace dress I bought whilst in my first year of University and I absolutely adored it, I'd totally forgotten about it but it's so perfect for the summer/autumn overlap! It can be paired with thick tights and boots or worn how I have for a perfect boho feel! I've styled this dress with one of my trusty hair chains and my chunky tassel necklace. This dress is unfortunately no longer available in Topshop, however I have noticed over the years there have been several copy cat versions in many different colours, so you may still be able to get your hands on one!

What I'm Wearing... Toby Mott

I was super lucky to receive a fab slogan tee from designer Toby Mott, his slogan tees have been worn by the likes of Kate Moss and Sarah Jessica Parker. His tees are printed in a 'School Detention' style and were inspired by the punk era and are printed with edgy, cheeky statements. The tee I was sent stated 'I do things I shouldn't' and was a 3/4 Raglan style tee. I've also been lucky enough to have been given a discount code to share with my followers that entitles you 20% off any purchase online! The code is: ALICE20
I decided to style the tee with my fabulous vintage leather shorts and my new favourite floppy hat from Primark as well as with my fab Yeti coat as a cover up.
