Vintage Checks...

I picked up this fabulous dress from a recent weigh and pay sale, I was attracted to the gorgeous colours within the checked print so I had to try it on.
I love the cut of the dress and the off the shoulder sleeves which give it a definite Vivienne Westwood Anglomania kinda vibe for an obviously much lower price tag!
This is definitely a more summery look but could be made more suitable for Autumn styled with a leather jacket, mine at the moment has a huge fur collar making me feel like Jon Snow everytime I leave the house.

I've styled this dress with my chunky white heels from Topshop, which are so comfy and easy to walk in even for someone who is just like Bambi on ice. I've accessorised simply with a couple of dainty choker necklaces and my big circle lens sunglasses.

Rainbow Mermaid Tears...

I've been a massive fan of Isolated Heroes for some time now but have never been able to afford any of their fabulous sequinny pieces. If you've not heard of them go and check them out immediately their hand made faux fur and sequin pieces are absolutely to die for!

A while ago they set up a kick starter page, and with each level of donation there was a different item up for grabs! This rainbow sequin version of the mermaid tears dress was one of those. Being the forgetful person I am, I forgot about this until it was too late and they quickly raised the funds they needed and these fabulous dresses became unavailable!
So when I spotted this dress on eBay I couldn't resist the chance to own it, I absolutely love it and its such great quality and a fabulous statement dress. It's a shame festival season is over as this would look great out in the fields! No doubt though I'll be finding any excuse to wear it this winter.

I've styled this with my gorgeous rainbow hair chain by Lamoda along with gold glittery socks and chunky black heels and of course finished off with Candy Yum Yum!

Vintage Gold and Copper...

When it comes to sequins, you can never own too many. I have an ever expanding collection of sequins in my wardrobe and I never intend on getting rid of any. They are 'investments' is what I like to tell myself to justify buying even more, buying vintage sequins quite often means you'll never see the same item more than once which totally justifies having to buy it there and then, right? As I type this I'm waiting for a delivery of yet another sequin dress just as fabulous as all my others!

This top is no exception, when I was at a recent Weigh and Pay we had noticed a lack of sequin items in comparison to the last one. However as we were trying on all our other finds, my magpie eyes spotted this fabulous number. It instantly found a home in my bag!

I've styled it with this fabulous PVC skirt from Primark, which I picked up a couple of years ago for a ridiculously low price. I recently wore this outfit at Neighbourhood Festival in Manchester, I needed a day to night outfit and teamed with fish nets, black boots and a leather jacket this was the perfect outfit for an incredible day!

Vintage Florals...

So a couple of weeks ago there was another Vintage Weigh & Pay in my home town and it would've been rude not to go! I tried to not go as crazy as last time and was a little more restrained, however we still made two separate visits and I got two bags full of fabulous vintage finds.
I bought five different items and it only cost me about £20, so only about £4 per item!

These floral printed culotte shorts were one of my finds, I absolutely love this style of short the floaty fabric almost gives the illusion of a skirt. These shorts caught my eye because of the lovely autumnal burgundy red colour of the flowers so they instantly went in my to buy pile!
I've styled them with a fringed black bandeau style top and also with my fabulous Topshop patchwork faux suede fringed jacket.
I also picked up this fabulous hair chain when I was last in Manchester it was reduced down to only £1 so a snapped it up I love the boho vibe it brings to this outfit.

Vintage Sequins and Floral Patterns...

It's now well and truly Autumn and the slight Indian Summer the UK was experiencing has disappeared, today I have made a nest to hide away from the dreadful cold weather! However the plus side of this time of year is its gig season. In the past couple of weeks I've seen Slaves, The Sherlocks and The Hunna all who were equally fabulous. Slaves has to be the favourite though as part of their Back in the Van tour they played The Cookie in Leicester and it has to be one of the sweatiest and wildest gigs I've been to in a long while! Really excited to get my preorder of the album on my record player when I pick it up from the post office (I got a dreaded red slip through the door!). This Friday I am going to see Blossoms play at Rock City, and then venturing back to Manchester on Saturday for Neighbourhood Festival and I absolutely can't wait.

I've started to notice my wardrobe is filling up with more and more vintage finds opposed to high street clothing. This outfit is no exception, I picked up the shorts a couple of years ago from COW Vintage in Nottingham I've loved them ever since. They did originally come with a matching belt but I seem to have misplaced this and can't find it anywhere!
The top is from a charity shop and although you can't truly tell is made up of sequins and small iridescent beads, it's absolutely beautiful. It also has sequin and bead detailing along the hem but as this is tucked in can't be seen!
